Gabriela Mistral

 Hi, today i’m gonna talk about someone who i really admire, Gabriela Mistral.

Gabriela mistral was a chilean poetess and educator, she was the first author on latin america who wins a Nobel in Literature. 

But what i really love and admire about  Gabriela Mistral was her passion for education and teach, she start being a teacher when she was only 14 years old, and i think this part of her life is undervalued, because people always think in gabriela only as a poetess, but she travel from chile and latin america as a teacher :) for example she went to Mexico in 1922 and help making the reform in education. 

What i really loves more about her work and thoughts, she think that education was for everyone and she thinks and all the children, woman’s and people of rural areas. 

I think that in Chile, people don’t value what an icon in education is Gabriela Mistral, she perfectly when all the things she make, said and write being one of the most important educator on the world. But i know that in other countries, she is really famous and value for her job, i hope some day in Chile it will be the same.
